Wow, that was a really, really nice surprise! I do like all the new stuff from Solaris 10/OpenSolaris, and i say that in every opportunity, like now. I did write some posts about FMA, like this one… but one problem about the fmdump messages IMHO, was the fact that the messages on console were almost every time OK, but when you did need to know more about the error or what to do… hmmm.. problems. The https://www.sun.com/msg site had the SAME text. Did not help.
Today i was looking some arbitrary msgs, and was impressed! Thanks for such rich information! But i have one more thing to ask…
One of the best documentations/site i think is php.net and mysql.com, because there are user’s interaction. I do like the wiki way of create knowledge. Please, open that messages codes to the users, so they can add their “sui generis” experience.
When you are looking for some information, it is sad just find the “trivial” stuff. I know that the manual should have the simple example, but sometimes is not easy to realize some more complex solutions from it. Take a look at this for example… or this… that rocks!
Ok, but that is just a suggestion, because the messages are much more complete right now.
